Rachel is a surface pattern designer and freelance illustrator currently living and working in Brooklyn, New York. She specializes in children's illustration, hand-lettering, and pattern design. Her creativity is fueled by her environment and things that make her laugh out loud. She has a love for indie folk music (especially the banjo) farm fresh food, cross country running, children’s books, and hand-written letters. She obtained her BFA in Illustration from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2014, and studied Illustration internationally at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg, Germany in 2013.
